A Moonlighting or Dual Employment Check, if requested by your potential or current employer, will perform a check to verify your employment history via the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) and match the output to any employment history you have provided in your application as an additional source of employment verification.

Why am I being asked to provide my Universal Account Number (UAN)?

A universal account number (UAN) is a unique number assigned to salaried employees in India contributing to their Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation scheme. The EPFO is India’s retirement savings scheme.

If an individual has been or is contributing to an employer’s EPFO scheme their employment start and end date with that organisation is recorded against the individual’s UAN. This information is obtained to conduct the Moonlighting check. We only receive current and previous employment information but do not receive any information regarding individual EPF payments.
